JAGUAR C-X16 Powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 power off 376 and 332 lb-ft of torque, the C-X16 Concept is Jaguar's great heritage of the compressor in the next century with the addition of a "push to pass" hybrid -control system with a steering wheel button.

An electric motor is integrated into the eight-speed transmission that offers an additional 92 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque when the button is pressed. The resulting performance figures - 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph - is almost as impressive as the 165 g / km C02 emissions and C-X16's ability to travel up to 50 km / h on electrical power alone.

The juice is powered by a 1.6 kWh battery mounted behind the rear seats, helping to contribute to the 50/50 weight distribution front to rear. And if you're wondering, we understand the engine room worthy of a V8, assuming that Jaguar wants to move up the price scale.

As for style, it's as good as anything Ian Callum, design director at Jaguar, but it would be remiss not to say that it looks a bit dated. Superb, no doubt, but in the same way XK is a superb, but fails to accelerate our pulse, when we see one on the road.

We've heard rumors of a more powerful XKR. We've seen spy shots of the rumored two-door blowing in the English countryside wearing a camouflage netting. And now it's official: Jaguar XKR offers more powerful Geneva Motor Show 2011 and is named XKR-S.

We can only assume is closed Jaguar's supercharged 5.0-liter V8 as a motivational tool, because not all information is unvieled stir up next week in Switzerland. But we have some 'numbers: 550 horsepower, 502 pound-feet of torque, top speed of 186 kph and the ability to start from zero to 60 mph, just 4.2 seconds.

This year's consignments have already begun coming in, starting off with a rare 1949 Jaguar XK120. The alloy-bodied roadster – the only one made in Blue Sheen paint – was the first XK120 to come to the United States, and is expected to fetch as much as half a million at auction. Next up is one of only four '33 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental Sedanca Drop Head Coupes (got all that?) with Gurney Nutting coachwork, likewise estimated around the half-million mark. Finally Gooding has a '62 Lotus 23B on the docket with considerable racing pedigree projected at around $200k.

Because Faulty Windshield Wipers, Jaguar Recalling 6,475 XJ Sedans in the States

When you're sitting behind the wheel of a new Jaguar XJ, it would appear that no rainy day could affect your mood. Well, except for those 6,475 U.S.-spec units manufactured between July 28, 2009 and November 3, 2010, on which the front wiper arms weren't sufficiently torqued during assembly. Consequently, Jaguar has issued a recall for the affected cars, according to a NHTSA press release.

The safety agency said on its website that during operation, the securing nuts could fail, resulting in a loss of synchronization and ultimately lead to a clash [sic] of the wiper arms. Furthermore, the wipers could detach from the car and leave the driver blind in the middle of the pouring rain. And that can't be good, especially at highway speeds.

So, dealers will check if the wipers arms are fitted correctly onto the spindle and the securing nuts will be tightened. As with most recalls, the fix will be carried out free of charge.

The C-X75 is not only a beautifully sculptured supercar but also a technological show piece. It is motivated by four 195-horsepower electric motors, one in each wheel. A six hour domestic plug-in charge is good enough to offer a driving range of 68 miles. When the batteries are depleted, a center-mounted, 188-horsepower gas turbine engine kicks in to recharge the batteries and extend the supecar's range to a total of 560 miles.

Jaguar claims the four-wheel drive supercar is capable of reaching a top speed of 205 mph [330 km/h].

Recent media reports suggest the British company is looking into a limited-run production model based on the concept car. If true, we could see the first prototype models out in the open testing as early as 2013.

Paris, France— Jaguar's C-X75 concept was a surprise to everyone. We all expected the company to display a small sedan to slot in beneath the XF, a model the expanding brand desperately needs.

The C-X75 uses a pretty outrageous (and very cool) extended-range electric powertrain. At each of the four wheels sits a 195-hp electric motor, meaning a total of 780, along with 1187 lb-ft of torque and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 3.4 seconds. And rather than using some boring little four-cylinder engine to keep the batteries juiced up, the SuperJagUar uses a pair of small gas turbine (Turbine!) engines, each producing 96 hp. Top speed is reportedly 205 mph, and the batteries will last about 68 miles before the turbines start spinning to add about 500 more miles of range.

Jaquar had other plans. Instead, the company pulled the sheet off of this lusty two-seat supercar. Like several other concepts like the Porsche 918, the C-X75 employs electric motors for forward thrust. But in the Jag’s case, there's a 195 hp motor for each of the four wheels. So this concept has 780 hp on tap.

Jaguar claims that the C-X75 can travel 68 miles on the battery pack and when it's depleted, an innovative gas-powered generator kicks on to supply the juice. Rather than use a conventional piston motor, Jaguar installed a pair of small turbine engines just behind the two fixed seats. These engines can supply 188 hp and can either charge the batteries or send juice to the electric motors.

Like all these concepts, the C-X75 is, at this point, just an idea. But we'e seen the micro turbine used in a hybrid before so perhaps the idea's time has arrived.
