ALFA ROMEO GT CABRIOLET
Fiat 500C Demonstrations, Ferrari and Maserati GranTurismo California. But it almost could have been if only Alfa Romeo, had given the project the green light.
This one-prototype-a-kind convertible based on the Alfa GT has only recently been revealed to Bertone. A relatively simple work to speak would give the four-seater cabriolet Alpha Gamma, and because of Carrozzeria Bertone, the lifeblood of this evil. But rather than moving its production to Fiat and ended up buying them Coachbuilding Bertone operational again.
Instead, the Alfa Spider and decided to go with the two-seater cabriolet version of the Brera, designed by Giugiaro and built by Pininfarina - Bertone, the two largest competitors. And even if this model could be looking two, both in its driving characteristics and performance of the market has never failed to keep pace. From 2005 to 2010, Alfa has sold fewer than 22,000 examples of the Brera and Spider 2006-2010, only 12 000, while the GT coupe has sold over 80,000 units in 2003-2010. If GT Convertible proved more successful? Impossible to say now, but Carrozzeria Bertone, may still be around if it would be.
